Bikertoberfest 2005
Oct. 15 - 23
Our annual fall trip this year was definitely highlighted by our side trip to Key West, where we all got a little out of hand. However we stayed at a great little Inn that had no problem with us at all. Where else do you go to check in and the first thing they do is offer you an ice cold beer. If you are ever considering a trip to Key West you'll want to stay at www.edenhouse.com if you like life a little on the edge. Happy hour is poolside every day between 4 and 5 pm with free cheap liquor, entertainment, and a great time. As you can see we took advantage of all of it.
However, our first stop was the beautiful city of Charleston, SC for a visit at the Hunley museum, a civil war era submarine used to try and break the harbor blockade of Charleston during the war. Sinking the first ship by submarine during wartime in history, when it successfully took down the Federal ship the USS Housatonic on Feb. 17, 1864. However the sub never made it back from it's mission and laid on the harbor bottom until she was discovered and raised 136 years later.

As always we had a great trip with good friends and we thank everyone who made the ride. We are already looking forward to next year's ride to the West.
